Partal is yet another variety of soft wood which is very popular and holds great demand in the market. Spruce is strong and hard, and is highly resistant to decay. Partal wood can be used diversely, from carpentry to usage in musical instruments. Plywood is a material manufactured from thin layers or "plies" of wood veneer that are glued together with adjacent layers having their wood grain rotated up to 90 degrees to one another. It is an engineered wood from the family of manufactured boards which include medium-density fibreboard (MDF), oriented strand board (OSB) and particle board (chipboard).
Local pinewood is known as Kail. Pakistani kail is a good and economical wood that is used in house constructions. Though its availability is not as common as it used to be.

Preferring the well-drained loam soil found in river valleys, white ash can grow to 120′ tall and a diameter of 6′ with nearly half the trunk height clear of branches.
